Oh hey, Hi, Welcome.
I’m Markus Pattern. I’m a comic book artist and this is my new website. Where you are able to see all my art. I’m done with the Social medias, and while I do like the idea of a newsletter, it’s not really something that comes easy to me. Like keeping a diary. But I do need a place to post my comics, comic covers, pin-ups and wherever my whims take me.
So, the lay of the land.
Comics
You can read the 1st four chapters of Here Comes the Dragon Punch, a kung fu comic inspired by my love of anime, fighting games, parkour and the Great British Bake Off. 2025 is going to be the year that I focus on Here Comes the Dragon Punch, so expect a couple of short chapters, plus a single issue dedicated to Omar. I’d also like some letters, Fanart to print in the back of the Omar book, like old school comics did back in the day.
I’m also the artist for The Kindness of Killers, which is being published by Markosia, written by Cy Dethan, and Lettered by Nic Wilkison. The Kindness of Killers is a bloody samurai horror comic, about Takakage quest for vengeance, and Jack desire not to get a job. The lives are linked by time jumping swords and eldritch god horror shenanigans.
I’ll also have a couple of short comics up, and my current comics portfolio too. Your going to see quite a few comics on this site of mine.
Artworks
In here, you’ll find pin-ups, fan arts, and I’ve currently building a comic cover portfolio, in which I show I can create covers, learn how to make better covers by doing and flirt with Dynamite ever so gently that hire me on the spot. Except to see a lot of Warhammer, Usagi Yojimbo and Purple, I’m in a purple faze at the moment.
I’m also bring over WIP Wednesday from social media, and only WIP Wednesday from social media. Something about this hashtag really spoke to me, and I want to keep it going.
I livestream pretty everyday, your good lord willing, so if you haven’t seen me, I’m over on Youtube and Twitch. Come watch, say hello. It might take me 3 hours to reply, but I will.
